Mod coaches disability sector on use of VR

Mod was retained by disability sector peak body, National Disability Services (NDS) to coach teams from several different disability services organisations, over 12 months, to pilot their ideas for using Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality.

The teams all received support from the National Disability Services (NDS) Innovative Workforce Fund.

A particularly interesting example was developed by a team from House With No Steps. The team had no in-house technical skills or developer experience but with Mod's guidance and recommendations of template software, they were able to design and produce a pilot VR experience. Their pilot allows new disability support workers to gain basic preparation to work with multiple people who have special needs, in group home settings, before going into homes to support real life service users.

Congratulations to the House With No Steps team.
