Live A/V in Australia

This week marked the launch of Live A/V in Australia, a book on audio-visual performance.

Live A/V in Australia by Grayson Cooke documents the diverse and evolving audio-visual community. The ebook contains a series of video interviews with practitioners around the country, including our own Michela Ledwidge. The interviews show that there is a vibrant performance scene in Australia that draws on the aesthetic traditions of music, cinema and new media art.

Published by the University of Technology Sydney's publishing arm, UTS ePress, it is scholarly work yet very accessible and designed for a wide readership. It is part of their MediaObject.net series, supported by the Centre for Media Arts Innovation.
